Bread Pudding

Boozy Sauce

Method

Bread Pudding

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the cubed stale bread in a large bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, and Texas whiskey until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine

Pour the wet mixture over the cubed bread. Stir gently until all bread pieces are soaked. Allow resting for 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Bake

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

Boozy Sauce

  1. 5

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the Texas whiskey, brown sugar, and butter. Stir until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 6

    Add Cream

Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Dish

Spoon portions of the warm bread pudding onto plates. Drizzle the boozy sauce generously over the top.

  2. 8

    Add Ice Cream and Berries

Top with a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream and a handful of farmers berries for a delicious finish.
