French Press Coffee
Method
Filter/Drip Coffee
- 1
Set up your drip brewer with a clean filter. Rinse the filter with hot water to remove any papery taste and preheat the brewer. Discard the rinse water.
- 2
Add 6 tbs of medium-ground coffee to the filter and level the bed to ensure even extraction.
- 3
Pour about 60 ml of hot water (just off the boil) over the grounds to saturate them. Allow the coffee to bloom for about 30 seconds.
- 4
Slowly pour the remaining 420 ml hot water in a circular motion, ensuring all grounds are evenly saturated. Let the coffee drip through completely for about 3–4 minutes.
