Fries

Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Bake the Fries

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen french fries on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  2. 2

    Season the Fries

Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle salt and black pepper over the fries. Toss to coat evenly.

  3. 3

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through the cooking time.

Cooking the Toppings

  1. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.

  2. 5

    Add Mushrooms and Peppers

Add the sliced mushrooms and diced sweet peppers to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  3. 6

    Cook the Plant-Based Beef

Add the plant-based ground beef to the vegetable mixture, along with garlic powder and chili powder. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.

Assembling the Impossible Fries

  1. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and layer the sautéed plant-based beef and vegetable mixture on top of the fries.

  2. 8

    Add Cheese

Top the loaded fries with the slices of white American cheese, allowing them to melt over the mixture.

  3. 9

    Final Bake

Return the assembled fries to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
