Beef Preparation
- 1
Cook the Wagyu Beef
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the 1 lb of American Wagyu beef. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Coleslaw Preparation
- 2
Make the Coleslaw
In a large bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage and grated carrots. In a separate smaller bowl, whisk together 1 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 0.5 teaspoons of salt, and 0.5 teaspoons of black pepper until smooth. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Sauce Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine 0.5 cups of Russian dressing with 0.25 cups of mayonnaise. Mix until well combined and set aside.
Assembling the Sub
- 4
Assemble the Wagyu Slaw Be Jo®
Slice each sub roll in half lengthwise. On the bottom half of each roll, lay down 1 slice of provolone cheese. Top with the cooked and sliced Wagyu beef, followed by a generous portion of the prepared coleslaw. Drizzle the sauce over the coleslaw, and then place the top half of the roll over the fillings. Press down gently to secure.
