Cocktail

Method

Prepare

  1. 1

    Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure it is well chilled.

  2. 2

    Measure ingredients

Measure out Tom's Town Vodka (2 oz), Chambord (1/2 oz), fresh pineapple juice (2 oz), and fresh lemon juice (1/4 oz). If your pineapple juice is very sweet, omit the optional simple syrup. If it's tart or you prefer slightly sweeter, add 1/4 oz simple syrup.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine and shake

Fill a cocktail shaker with the measured vodka, Chambord, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and optional simple syrup. Add plenty of ice (about 4 large cubes). Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is frosty and the mixture is well chilled.

  2. 4

    Double strain

Dump the ice or water from the chilled glass. Use a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp for a smooth presentation.

Finish & Serve

  1. 5

    Garnish

Express a lemon twist over the drink (pinch the twist skin to release oils) and either drop it into the glass or rest a small pineapple wedge on the rim. Optionally, float a fresh raspberry or an edible flower on top for visual appeal.

  2. 6

Serve immediately while cold. Enjoy responsibly.
