Method
Prepare Cocktail Base
Combine spirits and citrus
In a mixing glass, add gin, Aperol, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Add the ice cubes and stir for 10–15 seconds until slightly chilled and diluted (about 10% dilution). Strain into a chilled pint glass or a large beer glass, discarding the mixing ice.
Top with Beer
Slowly and gently pour the pilsner or light lager down the side of the glass to top up the drink (about 12 fl oz). Pouring slowly preserves carbonation and creates a gentle layered lift between the beer and the cocktail base.
