Method

Preparation

1

Chill bottle and glass

Ensure the San Pellegrino bottle and the serving glass are chilled. Place the bottle in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving or on ice for 10–15 minutes. Place the glass in the refrigerator or freezer for 5–10 minutes if you prefer an extra-cold presentation.

2

Prepare optional garnishes

If using a lemon wedge, wash the lemon, cut a 1/8–1/4 inch slice, and make a small slit so it can rest on the rim of the glass.

Serving

3

If desired, add 2–3 ice cubes to the chilled glass. Note: adding ice will dilute the water slightly as it melts.

4

Open the 250 ml San Pellegrino bottle. Pour gently into the glass at a slight angle to preserve carbonation and prevent excessive foaming. Pour until the glass is about three-quarters full or to the desired level.

5

Garnish with the lemon wedge on the rim or gently squeezed into the water if using. Serve immediately so the carbonation is at its freshest.

Presentation & Storage

6

Present with a coaster or small plate. If not finished, re-cork or re-cap the bottle and keep refrigerated to retain fizz. Consume within 24–48 hours for best carbonation.
