Pork Chop Marinade

Rice

Fried Egg

Garnish (optional)

Method

Marinating the Pork Chops

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, black pepper, and sesame oil to create the marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork Chops

Place the pork chops in the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor.

Cooking the Rice

  1. 3

    Rinse the Rice

Rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Cook the Rice

In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

Cooking the Pork Chops

  1. 5

Grill or Pan-fry the Pork Chops

Heat a grill or pan over medium-high heat. Remove the pork chops from the marinade and discard any leftover marinade. Cook the pork chops for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.

Frying the Eggs

  1. 6

    Fry the Eggs

In a separate pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes.

Plating the Dish

  1. 7

    Serve

On a plate, serve a portion of rice, top with a grilled pork chop, and place a fried egg on top. Garnish with chopped green onions and sliced cucumber if desired.
