Marinating the Pork

Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, minced garlic, black pepper, five-spice powder, and vegetable oil.

Marinate the Pork
Add the pork shoulder to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight to enhance the flavor.
Grilling the Pork

Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Grill the Pork
Remove the pork from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Rest the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Bánh Mì

Slice the Baguette
While the pork rests, slice the baguette horizontally, leaving one side intact.

Spread Mayonnaise
Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the inside of each baguette.

Slice the assembled bánh mì into manageable pieces and serve immediately.
