Prepare the Spice Rub
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika to create a spice rub.

Season the Pork
Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it's evenly coated.

Slow Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add apple cider vinegar and water to the pot. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.

Simmer the Sauce
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 15 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt to taste.

Shred the Pork
Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

Place a generous amount of the pulled pork mixture onto each burger bun. Top with coleslaw if desired.
