Ingredients
Base Frozen Drink
The Works (5 Orders worth of toppings and mix-ins)
Equipment & Serving
Base Frozen Drink
1. Prepare blender
Chill the blender pitcher for a few minutes if possible. This keeps the frozen drink from melting too fast while blending.
2. Combine base ingredients
Add 3 cups vanilla soft-serve (or frozen custard), 1 cup whole milk, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 cup ice cubes to the blender.
3. Blend to smooth thick consistency
Pulse on low to break up the ice, then blend on medium-high for 20–40 seconds until the mixture is very thick and smooth — scoopable but pourable. Scrape down the sides once and briefly re-blend if necessary. The finished volume will make about five substantial frozen drinks (roughly 12–14 oz each).
4. Check consistency and adjust
If too thin, add 1/2 cup additional soft-serve or a few more ice cubes and pulse. If too thick to pour, add up to 2 tablespoons milk and pulse briefly.

5. Prepare topping stations
Portion the chocolate syrup, strawberry sauce, and caramel sauce into squeeze bottles or small bowls for easy drizzling. Place crushed cookies, chopped peanuts, mini chips, sprinkles, waffle crumbs, sliced banana, whipped cream, and cherries in separate bowls so each drink can be finished to order.
6. Layer sauces (optional)
For a decorative inside-glass effect, drizzle about 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup and 1 tablespoon of caramel or strawberry sauce around the inside of each glass. Rotate the glass while pouring so the syrup adheres to the sides.
7. Portion frozen drink
Divide the blended frozen base evenly among five chilled glasses (about 12–14 oz per glass). Leave about 1 inch headspace for toppings.
8. Add mix-ins to each cup
For each of the five 'orders' add a different combination of 'works' so all components are used across the five servings. Suggested distributions: 1) Drizzle chocolate, sprinkle crushed Oreos and mini chips, top with whipped cream and a cherry. 2) Drizzle strawberry, add banana slices and sprinkles, top with whipped cream and a cherry. 3) Drizzle caramel, sprinkle chopped peanuts and toffee/waffle crumbs, top with whipped cream and a cherry. 4) Swirl chocolate and strawberry, add crushed Oreos and sprinkles, top with whipped cream and a cherry. 5) Drizzle caramel and chocolate, add mini chips and waffle crumbs, top with whipped cream and a cherry.
9. Final garnish
Finish each drink with about 2–3 tablespoons whipped cream, a sprinkling of the chosen crunchy topping (about 1–2 tablespoons), a few mini chips or sprinkles, and a maraschino cherry. Insert a straw and a long spoon.
10. Serve immediately
Serve the frozen drinks right away while they are thick and cold. If any need to wait more than 5 minutes, keep in the refrigerator briefly but expect slight softening; re-blend very briefly (5–10 seconds) if they start to separate.
Cleanup & Tips
11. Rinse the blender immediately after use to prevent soft-serve and sauces from hardening on the blades. Wipe down squeeze bottles and cover leftover sauces and toppings.
12. Variations: swap chocolate or vanilla soft-serve, use flavored syrups, or add a shot of espresso to one order for an adult twist. For dietary restrictions, use dairy-free soft-serve and non-dairy milk.
