Pigs in a Blanket Ingredients
Method
Pigs in a Blanket Directions
- 1
Prepare Puff Pastry
Thaw the puff pastry dough according to package instructions, usually in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.
- 2
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3
Cut the Puff Pastry
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into rectangles, approximately 3 inches by 4 inches.
- 4
Wrap the Franks
Place one mini kosher beef frank on each rectangle of puff pastry. Roll them up tightly, sealing the edges with a little water if necessary.
- 5
Apply Egg Wash
Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the egg wash over each wrapped frank to give them a golden color when baked.
- 6
Sprinkle Sesame Seeds
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each wrapped frank for added flavor and texture.
- 7
Bake
Arrange the wrapped franks on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
- 8
Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with Dijon mustard and ketchup on the side.
