Cooking the Beef

Season the Ribs
Season the boneless beef ribs with salt and black pepper on all sides.

Making the Sauce

Add Tomato Paste
Stir in the tomato paste and cook for another 2 minutes to caramelize it slightly.

Combine Ingredients
Return the seared ribs to the pot. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaves. Bring to a simmer.

Slow Cook
Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Let it cook for about 2-3 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shreds apart.

Cook the Ziti
About 20 minutes before the beef is done, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine Beef and Pasta
Return the shredded beef to the pot, remove the bay leaves, and stir in cooked ziti pasta and chopped fresh basil. Mix well until everything is combined.
