Slice the Tomatoes
Wash the fresh tomatoes thoroughly under cold running water. Pat them dry with a clean towel. Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds, about 1/2 inch thick.

Prepare the Mozzarella
Remove the buffalo mozzarella from its packaging and drain any excess liquid. Slice the mozzarella into similar thickness as the tomatoes, about 1/2 inch thick.
- 3
Tear the Basil
Gently rinse the fresh basil leaves under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel. Tear the basil leaves into smaller pieces, if necessary, to make them easier to distribute.
