Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and ensure you have a clean workspace. Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Make the Pistachio Pesto

If you are using store-bought pistachio pesto, skip this step. Otherwise, blend 1 cup of shelled pistachios, 1 clove of garlic, 1 cup of fresh basil, 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, and 1/4 cup of olive oil in a food processor until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Toasting the Bread

  1. 3

    Toast the Ciabatta

Place the ciabatta slices on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper. Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Assembling the Crostone

  1. 4

    Spread the Burrata

Once the ciabatta is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spread the fresh burrata evenly over each slice.

  2. 5

    Add Mortadella

Layer the mortadella slices on top of the burrata, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

  3. 6

    Top with Pistachio Pesto

Spoon the pistachio pesto over the mortadella, adding more or less according to your preference.

  4. 7

    Garnish

Chop the pistachios and sprinkle them over the crostone for added crunch. Drizzle with a little more olive oil and season with additional salt and black pepper if desired.
