Prepare the Pesto
In a food processor, combine fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic cloves, grated Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and salt. Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.

Sear Scallops
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season scallops with salt and black pepper. Add scallops to the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Gently fold in the seared scallops and cooked shrimp into the pasta. Mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients evenly.
