Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Cook Fettuccine

Add the fettuccine to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the fettuccine in a colander and set aside.

Making Alfredo Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt Butter

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it is fully liquid.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Finely mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Add Heavy Cream

Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally.

  4. 7

    Incorporate Cheese

Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

  5. 8

    Season Sauce

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Continue to stir the sauce for another 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Combining and Serving

  1. 9

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

  2. 10

    Garnish

Chop fresh parsley and sprinkle it over the fettuccine Alfredo for added flavor and presentation.

  3. 11

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot. Enjoy your creamy fettuccine Alfredo!
