Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Burger Patties
In a bowl, combine the Angus beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- 2
Form Patties
Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
Bacon Cooking
- 3
Cheese Melting
- 4
Melt the Cheese
In the same skillet, add the burger patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
Sauce Preparation
- 5
Make the Thai Peanut Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, chili flakes, and water. Heat over low heat, stirring until smooth and well combined.
Jam Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Cilantro Jalapeno Jam
In a saucepan, combine chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño, sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens (about 10-15 minutes). Let cool before using.
Assembly
- 7
Toast the Buns
Toast the pretzel buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- 8
Assemble the Thai Burger
Assemble the burgers by placing a burger patty on the bottom half of each pretzel bun. Top with two slices of crispy bacon, a generous drizzle of Thai peanut sauce, and a spoonful of cilantro jalapeno jam. Place the top half of the bun on the burger.
