Add Vanilla
Mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- 3
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt.
- 4
Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

Cut into Sticks
Use a sharp knife or a pizza cutter to cut the dough into sticks, approximately 1 inch wide and 3 inches long.
- 9
Bake the Cookies
Place the cookie sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- 10

Make the Frosting
In a medium bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- 12

Divide the frosting into small bowls and add food coloring to each bowl as desired, mixing until the desired colors are achieved.
- 13
