Method
Preparation of the Salad
- 1
Wash and Prepare Romaine Lettuce
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess moisture. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Croutons and Parmesan
Once the lettuce is prepared, add the croutons and shaved Parmesan cheese to the bowl with the romaine lettuce. Toss gently to combine.
Making the Caesar Dressing
- 3
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- 4
Season the Dressing
Season the dressing with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as necessary.
Serving the Salad
- 5
Combine Salad and Dressing
Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad base. Use tongs to toss the salad gently, ensuring that the lettuce, croutons, and Parmesan are evenly coated with the dressing.
- 6
Plate and Serve
Transfer the tossed salad to individual serving plates or bowls. Serve immediately while the salad is crisp.
