Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Beef Filling
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- 2
Cook the Beef
Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- 3
Season the Beef
Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Assemble the Burritos
Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable. Spread refried beans on each tortilla, then add a portion of the beef mixture. Top with shredded Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
- 5
Wrap the Burritos
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
- 6
Prepare for Baking
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the wrapped burritos seam-side down in a baking dish.
- 7
Add Red Sauce and Cheese
Pour homemade red sauce over the burritos and sprinkle additional cheese on top.
- 8
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 9
Serve
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Beef and Bean Burrito!
