Pie Ingredients

Method

Pie Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pie Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pre-made pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it gently against the bottom and sides. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent bubbling.

  2. 2

    Mix the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well blended. Add the melted butter and corn syrup, stirring until fully incorporated.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Flavoring

Crack the eggs into a separate bowl and beat them lightly. Stir the beaten eggs into the sugar mixture along with the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Pecans

Fold in the chopped pecans into the filling mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

  5. 5

    Pour into Crust

Carefully pour the pecan filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.

  6. 6

    Bake the Pie

Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. The pie should be golden brown on top.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 15 minutes. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of sour cream sauce paired with fresh strawberries and white chocolate if desired.
