Milk Chocolate Mousse
Method
Milk Chocolate Mousse
- 1
Prepare the Chocolate
Melt the milk chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream to soft peaks. Be careful not to over-whip; it should be smooth and creamy.
- 3
Whisk the Egg Whites
In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until foamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- 4
- 5
Add Vanilla
Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until just combined.
- 6
Chill the Mousse
Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
