Ingredients for Po Boy
Method
Directions for Preparing Po Boy
- 1
Prepare the Roast Beef
Slice the roast beef into thin pieces. If not already prepared, heat the beef gravy in a saucepan and add the sliced roast beef, allowing it to simmer for about 5 minutes until heated through.
- 2
Toast the French Bread
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the French bread loaves in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet. Toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until they are crispy and golden.
- 3
Assemble the Po Boy
Spread mayonnaise on the inside of each toasted bread half. Layer the dressed roast beef with gravy on the bottom half, then add lettuce, sliced tomato, and pickles on top. Drizzle with hot sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 4
Serve
Close the sandwich with the top half of the French bread. Cut in half if desired and serve immediately while hot.
