Method
Preparation of Papa Sauce
- 1
Make the Papa Sauce
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well until smooth and set aside.
Cooking the Beef Patty
- 2
Form and Cook the Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form into a patty about 1 inch thick. Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty to melt.
Toasting the Bun
- 3
Toast the Bun
While the patty is cooking, toast the bun on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown and slightly crispy.
Assembling the Cuban
- 4
Assemble the Burger
Once the patty is cooked and the bun is toasted, start assembling the burger. Spread a generous amount of Papa sauce on the bottom half of the bun. Place the cheeseburger patty on top, then add shredded lettuce, diced onions, and dill pickle slices. Finally, top with the other half of the bun.
