Burger Patties

Spicy Sauce

Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent swelling during cooking.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and top each patty with a slice of pepper jack cheese. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Prepare the Spicy Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, lime juice, and cayenne pepper until smooth and well combined.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, layer shredded lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, sliced tomatoes, and sliced jalapeños. Drizzle the spicy sauce over the top and place the other half of the bun to complete the burger.
