Method
Pulled Pork
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Place it in a slow cooker.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Add apple cider vinegar and honey to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and can be pulled apart easily.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Mix in the BBQ sauce until well combined.
Creamy Slaw
- 4
Prepare the Slaw
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and shredded carrot.
- 5
Make the Dressing
In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- 6
Combine and Chill
Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Crispy O-Rings
- 7
Prepare the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually whisk in cold water until a smooth batter forms.
- 8
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 9
Fry the Onions
Dip onion rings into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
