Method

Preparing the Beef Patty

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

Form the mixture into a round patty, about 1 inch thick.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

Place the beef patty on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.

  3. 5

Flip the patty, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top, and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your desired doneness.

Toasting the Bun

  1. 6

While the patty is cooking, slice the brioche buns in half.

  2. 7

Toast the buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden brown.

Preparing the Olive Aioli

  1. 8

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt.

  2. 9

Whisk until smooth and well combined.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 10

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread a generous amount of olive aioli.

  2. 11

Place the cooked beef patty with melted Swiss cheese on top.

  3. 12

Add the lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, sliced onion, and Kalamata olives on top of the patty.

  4. 13

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
