Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Ahi Tuna
Begin by cutting the Ahi tuna into small, bite-sized cubes, approximately ½ inch in size. Make sure the tuna is fresh and sushi-grade.
- 2
Mix the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sea salt, and red pepper flakes. Whisk the mixture together until well blended.
- 3
Combine Tuna and Marinade
Add the cubed Ahi tuna to the bowl with the marinade. Gently toss the tuna to ensure that all pieces are evenly coated with the marinade.
- 4
Add Green Onions and Sesame Seeds
Chop the green onions finely. Add them to the bowl along with the sesame seeds and gently mix to combine.
- 5
Chill the Poke
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 6
Serve
Serve the Poke chilled, garnished with additional sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Optionally, serve with nori sheets for wrapping.
