Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by roasting the cardamom seeds in a small, dry skillet over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Let them cool slightly, then crush them lightly with a mortar and pestle or the back of a spoon.
- 2
Mix the Drink
In a cocktail shaker, combine the crushed roasted cardamom seeds, rose water, Peychaud’s Bitters, lemon juice, and Aquavit. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15-20 seconds until chilled.
- 3
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled glass. You can choose to serve it straight up or over ice, depending on your preference.
- 4
Garnish
Garnish the drink with a fresh sprig of toasted rosemary for an aromatic finish. To toast the rosemary, briefly hold it over an open flame until lightly charred, then place it in the drink.
