Once cooked, drain the tortellini in a colander and set aside.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
- 4
Melt Butter
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- 5
Add Garlic
Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- 6
Add Cream
Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, allowing it to bubble lightly for about 2-3 minutes.
- 7
Incorporate Cheese
Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until it is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 8
Season the Sauce
Add salt, black pepper, and grated nutmeg. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for another minute.
