Baking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth, stirring between each interval.
- 3
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, whole eggs, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring continuously to prevent cooking the eggs.
- 5
Add Flour
Sift in the all-purpose flour and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
- 7
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
- 8
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
- 9
Cool and Serve
Let the cakes cool for 1 minute, then invert each ramekin onto a plate. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
