Method

Sangria Base

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruit

Wash the orange and lemon thoroughly. Slice both fruits into thin rounds, removing any seeds. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Dissolve the Sugar

In a large pitcher, add the granulated sugar. Pour in the dark rum and triple sec, stirring well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  3. 3

    Add Wines

Slowly pour in the red wine and white wine, stirring gently to combine with the sweetened spirits.

  4. 4

    Add Fruit and Chill

Add the sliced orange and lemon to the pitcher. Stir gently, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. 5

    Serve

Just before serving, add ice to the pitcher or individual glasses. Stir once more and serve chilled.
