Pizza Dough

Method

Pizza Dough

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats. Lightly dust a clean work surface with flour and stretch or roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or parchment-lined baking sheet.

Toppings

  1. 2

    Build the Base

Brush the surface of the dough evenly with olive oil, making sure to coat the edges. Sprinkle the minced garlic evenly over the dough for a fragrant base.

  2. 3

    Add Cheeses

Distribute the mozzarella cheese evenly across the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle the gorgonzola crumbles evenly over the mozzarella.

  3. 4

    Layer the Toppings

Arrange the thinly sliced Fuji apples evenly across the pizza. Scatter the fresh spinach over the apples, followed by the cooked, crumbled bacon. Lightly season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  4. 5

    Bake the Pizza

Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven or pizza stone. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown, the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the apples are tender.

  5. 6

    Finish with Honey

Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately drizzle the local honey evenly over the top. Let the pizza rest for 2–3 minutes before slicing and serving.
