Prepare the Glass
If desired, rim a rocks or margarita glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it into salt. Fill the glass with ice and set aside to chill.

Mix the Margarita
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, triple sec, fresh blood orange juice, fresh lime juice, and agave syrup.

Shake
Add a generous handful of ice to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the mixture is well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the margarita into the prepared glass over fresh ice.

Garnish
Garnish with a slice or wheel of blood orange and serve immediately.
