Directions
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp
Clean and devein the shrimp if necessary. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- 3
Add White Wine
Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- 4
Cook Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- 5
Incorporate Sun-Dried Tomatoes
Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and lemon juice. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- 6
Finish with Butter and Parsley
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted. Finally, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
- 7
Serve
Serve the shrimp scampi immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired. Enjoy with pasta, bread, or on its own.
