Fried Chicken

Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Prepare for Frying
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, shaking off excess flour. Carefully place the chicken in the hot oil and fry for about 8-10 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Repeat until all batter is used.
