Wash the fresh tomatoes thoroughly. Slice them into 1/4-inch thick rounds and arrange them on a serving platter.

Take the fresh mozzarella cheese and slice it into 1/4-inch thick rounds, similar in size to the tomato slices.

Rinse the fresh basil leaves under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside.

On the serving platter, alternate layers of sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves. Start with a slice of tomato, followed by a slice of mozzarella, and then a basil leaf. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used.
