Method

Preparation of Croutons

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Cut the baguette into small cubes, about 1-inch in size.

  3. 3

    Season the Croutons

In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Stir halfway through for even browning.

Preparation of Caesar Dressing

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic cloves, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Parmesan cheese.

  2. 6

    Mix Well

Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 7

    Prepare Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water, then dry it using a salad spinner or pat it with paper towels. Chop or tear into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 8

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce and the homemade croutons.

  3. 9

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the homemade Caesar dressing over the salad. Toss gently to combine until the lettuce is evenly coated with the dressing.

  4. 10

    Serve

Serve immediately, garnishing with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
