Burger Patties

Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each for even cooking.

Lobster Mac & Cheese

  1. 3

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the macaroni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 4

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until bubbly. Gradually whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese and Flavoring

Remove the pot from heat, and stir in the sharp cheddar and Gruyere cheese until melted. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  4. 6

    Combine with Lobster

Fold in the cooked macaroni and lobster meat into the cheese sauce until evenly coated. Keep warm.

Cooking the Burgers

  1. 7

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side.

  2. 8

    Flip and Add Cheese

Flip the patties and top each with a slice of cheddar cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties reach desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 9

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 10

    Build the Burger

Spread ketchup and mustard on the bottom bun. Layer with lettuce, the cooked burger patty, a slice of tomato, crumbled bacon, and a generous scoop of lobster mac & cheese. Top with the other half of the bun.
