Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Take a rocks glass and rim the edge with black salt. To do this, moisten the rim of the glass with a little grapefruit juice and then dip it into a plate of black salt, ensuring the rim is evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Mix the Cocktail

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of 400 Conejos Mezcal and 2 oz of fresh grapefruit juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until chilled.

  3. 3

    Serve the Cocktail

Strain the mixture into the prepared rocks glass filled with ice. Make sure to keep the black salt rim intact as you pour.

  4. 4

    Garnish

Garnish the drink with a slice of grapefruit and a fresh sprig of rosemary for an aromatic finish.
