Ahi Sliders

Sea Salt-Truffle Fries

Method

Ahi Sliders

  1. 1

    Marinate Ahi Tuna

In a bowl, combine the Ahi tuna steaks and teriyaki sauce. Allow the tuna to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Prepare Wasabi Mayo

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and wasabi until well combined. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Sear Ahi Tuna

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the tuna from the marinade and sear each steak for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and slice into slider-sized pieces.

Ponzu Slaw

  1. 4

    Make the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, sliced green onion, and ponzu sauce. Toss until the vegetables are evenly coated.

Sea Salt-Truffle Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the cut Russet potatoes on a baking sheet, drizzle with truffle oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Toss to coat the fries evenly.

  2. 6

    Bake the Fries

Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Assemble Sliders

  1. 7

    Build the Sliders

On each slider bun, spread a layer of wasabi mayo, place a seared Ahi slice, and top with the ponzu slaw. Close the bun and repeat for all sliders.
