Method
Beef Patty Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chuck
Start by placing the certified 'Sterling' chuck in a mixing bowl. Ensure it's ground finely if you prefer a smooth texture or coarsely for a more rustic bite.
- 2
Season the Meat
Add salt and black pepper to the ground chuck. Mix gently with your hands until the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout the meat.
- 3
Form the Patties
Divide the seasoned meat into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a round patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half. Optionally, you can toast them on the grill or in a toaster for added texture and flavor.
