Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling an old-fashioned glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare the drink.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of WhistlePig 6 Year Bourbon or Rye, 0.5 oz of barrel-aged maple syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Prepare the Glass
Empty the chilled old-fashioned glass of ice water, and strain the mixed drink into the glass over a large ice cube.

Garnish
Garnish the drink with 2 Luxardo cherries and a dried orange slice on top.
