Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground Certified Sterling Beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (135°F for medium-rare, 160°F for medium). If using cheese, add it on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger bun on the grill or skillet for 1-2 minutes. Place the cooked beef patty on the bottom half of the bun, add lettuce, tomato slices, and the top half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Kennebec potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to make fries. Soak the cut fries in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 5

    Dry the Fries

After soaking, drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove moisture.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the fries in batches to the hot oil. Fry them for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels.

  5. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with sea salt to taste.
