Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 300 ml of filtered water to a boil. Ensure the water reaches about 90-95°C (194-203°F) for optimal brewing of Tie Guan Yin.

  2. 2

    Measure Tea Leaves

While the water is boiling, measure out 10 grams of Tie Guan Yin Oolong tea leaves and place them in a teapot or infuser.

Brewing

  1. 3

    Steep the Tea

Once the water has boiled, let it cool for about 30 seconds to reach the appropriate temperature. Pour the hot water over the tea leaves in the teapot. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your taste preference.

  2. 4

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea into a cup or serve directly from the teapot, ensuring that the leaves are left behind.

Serving

  1. 5

    Optional Additions

If desired, add a teaspoon of honey for sweetness or a slice of lemon for a citrusy note to enhance the floral flavors of the tea.

  2. 6

    Enjoy

Sip and enjoy the bright, sweet, and floral notes of your freshly brewed Tie Guan Yin tea!
