Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare Ingredients

Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit. Drain well and set aside.

  2. 2

    Mince Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince them using a knife or a garlic press.

  3. 3

    Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant but not browned.

  5. 5

    Add Spinach

Add the washed spinach to the skillet, stirring gently to combine with the garlic and olive oil.

  6. 6

    Season

Sprinkle the spinach with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Continue to sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the spinach is wilted and tender.

  7. 7

    Finish with Lemon Juice

Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle 1 tablespoon of lemon juice over the sautéed spinach. Toss to combine.

  8. 8

    Serve

Transfer the sautéed spinach to a serving dish and enjoy immediately as a side dish or as a topping for other dishes.
