Milk

Flavoring (optional)

Method

Prepare Espresso

  1. 1

    Brew the Espresso

Using an espresso machine, brew 2 shots of espresso into a cup or small bowl. Make sure to use high-quality coffee beans for the best flavor.

Heat and Froth Milk

  1. 2

    Heat the Milk

Pour 1 cup of whole milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until hot but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.

  2. 3

    Froth the Milk

Once the milk is hot, use a milk frother or whisk to aerate the milk until it becomes frothy and has doubled in volume.

Combine Ingredients

  1. 4

    Mix Espresso and Milk

Pour the brewed espresso into a large coffee mug. If desired, add 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup for sweetness. Slowly pour the frothed milk over the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon.

  2. 5

    Top with Foam

Spoon the remaining foam on top of the latte. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon for added flavor.

Serve

  1. 6

    Enjoy Your Latte

Serve the latte immediately while hot. Optionally, serve with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or additional cinnamon on top.
