    Boil the Water

    In a kettle, bring 1 cup of fresh, cold water to a rolling boil over high heat.

    Measure Tea Leaves

    While the water is boiling, measure out 2 tablespoons of Lapsang Souchong tea leaves and set aside.

Brewing

    Steep the Tea

    Once the water is boiling, pour it over the tea leaves in a teapot or infuser. Ensure all leaves are submerged.

    Time the Brewing

    Cover the teapot or infuser and let the tea steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.

    Strain the Tea

    After steeping, strain the tea into a cup, removing the tea leaves.

    Enjoy your cup of Lapsang Souchong hot, or allow it to cool to room temperature for an iced version.
