Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Lemongrass
Wash the lemongrass stalks and cut off the tough ends. Gently bruise the stalks with a knife to release their flavor.
- 2
Juice the Oranges
Cut the fresh oranges in half and juice them using a citrus juicer. You should have about 2 cups of fresh orange juice.
Cooking
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine the bruised lemongrass, orange juice, lime juice, honey, and water.
- 4
Simmer
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- 5
Strain
After simmering, remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the lemongrass stalks.
- 6
Add Orange Blossom Water
Stir in the orange blossom water into the strained liquid for added fragrance and flavor.
Serving
- 7
Chill and Serve
Allow the mixture to cool, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Serve chilled over ice, garnished with a slice of lime or a sprig of lemongrass.
